Christmas Tree

Today we put up the Christmas tree. Jeff and I worked on the big one while the boys were napping and we let them help with the small on in there bed room. We decided this year we were going to put the tree in the sun room and lock the door. So the boys couldn't mess with it. Parker is in to everything right now and with having a newborn in the house we thought it was best! I have my hands full and the last thing I wanted to do was worry about Parker breaking an ornament. It's just easier this way!! The boys had a blast helping put up the small tree in there room.

I love this time of the year. I would say it's my favorite! We are trying to get the boys excited about Christmas and teach them the meaning of Christmas . I'm trying to come up with some type of Christmas activity to do everyday in December until Christmas. I can't believe Monday will be Dec 1st, time is going by so fast!!!

Black Friday Thanksgiving with the Robert's

Black Friday!! I've never gone out on Black Friday but this year I thought I would be brave. Diapers at Babies R Us were $10 for a box normal price 25 and wipes for $5 normally $10. I thought it was worth the savings. So I went to Babies R Us and that was it. It was so weird to see Green River road packed at 5:30am. I ended up saving over $100!!!!!!

Later on that day we celebrated Thanksgiving with the Jeff's MaMaw and PaPaw Roberts and that side of the family. There were close to 30 people there. It's always nice to see that side of the family. We all had a great time but was glad to it was our last Thanksgiving meal for the year.

Thanksgiving Day Seymore Family

Thanksgiving Day we go over to Jeff's parents house for Thanksgiving Dinner. We started the day at Tri-State. Jeff and I wanted to get a good workout in, considering we were stuffing our faces all week. After our workout we went to Starbucks for pepermint mocha for me and hot chocolate for the boys. Then we went to Grandma Lou Lous and PaPaw Bob's house. GiGi, Uncle Dick, John, Andi, Graci, Laney were there too. The meal was great. Kathy always cooks the best turkey!!!! After lunch we played Wii Rockband and Wii fit. We got to talk and see Marla and John on Skype. They are spending there Thanksgiving with John's family in Philadelphia. We look forward to having them here for Christmas!

Cooper Update!!! She is 6 weeks old tomorrow! Time has went by so fast. She is now out of newborn diapers and now in size 1. She is sleeping better most nights. Her last feeding is around 9:00 then she usually gets up around 3:00. We had one really bad night last week. She has had alot of gas and her little belly was hurting. We pretty much have a regular schedule now. Her first feeding is around 6:30-7:00. The boys wake up around 7:30. We have breakfast and get ready for the day. Around 9:30-10 I feed Cooper then we go to TSAC. The kids go to the kids club there which the boys absolutely love!! I get my workout in and shower. Around 12:00 we have lunch then 1:00 I feed Cooper then put everyone down for naps. During that time I get stuff done around the house and get dinner ready. 4:00 everyone wakes up from naps. I feed Cooper then get dinner on the table. Jeff gets home at 4:45. We have dinner at 5:00. Then family time!!! At 7:00 I feed Cooper and Jeff's put the boys to bed. 9:30-10:00 I feed Cooper again then put her to bed.

Life is Good!!!!!!!!!!

Cooper's already 1 month old!!!

Today Cooper turned 1 month old. I just can't believe that it's already been a month. She is still doing really well. The Lord has blessed us with a very easy baby!!! It's been a week since I've posted a blog. We had a very busy week. Jeff helped out with a night feeding last Tuesday, it was so nice to get 6 hours of straight sleep. I'm sure he will do it again sometime this week. Cooper is growing so fast she has almost out grown all her newborn clothes. I would guess in about 2 weeks she will be able to wear her 0-3 months clothes. Which I can't wait, because we have so many cute outfits to put her in!!! We started getting stricter on her feeding schedule. I try to start her first feeding of the day at 7:00am with eating every 3 hours and her last feeding of the day at 9:00pm. She has been doing one 4 hour stretch at night.

Today I went to gym for the first time in about 5 months!! It felt so good to be back on the treadmill running. I didn't do too much, just 30 mins of run/walk intervials. The boys had a blast in kids club and Cooper did great. I'm planning on making it to the gym 3-5 days a week. We almost bought a treadmill to have at home but Jeff and I talked more and more about it and decided it was better for the kids and me to do my workout at TSAC instead. This way the boys can have interactions with other kids and I also get interaction with other adults plus I can shower and get ready there!!!! I'm really happy with our desision.

Cooper Lynn 3 weeks old today

Wow, time has went by so fast. I can't believe Cooper is already 3 weeks old. She is starting to change, her cute little face is filling out. She is a really good baby. I hope her personality stays the way it is now, she is very laid back. She's eating every 3 hours, sometimes every 2, but for the most part she is right on schedule. We have had a couple nights where she has slept more and some with less. I can't remember when the boys started sleeping longer through the night but I'm hoping here in a couple weeks she will be sleeping 4-5 hours. We have done "baby wise" with the boys and plan on doing it will Cooper. Baby Wise is a book that talks about getting your baby to sleep through the night. It mainly focus on the feed time-awake time-sleep time schedule. With Avin I did everything the book said to do and with Parker I was a little bit more laid back. I'm planing on being a little bit in between this time. We've already started working on keeping her up after each feeding through out the day and trying to get her to put her self to sleep and not letting her falling asleep in our arms. I've started putting her on her belly for nap times through out the day. The boys were belly sleepers. (I think belly sleepers sleep better and longer but that is just my opinion) She seems to be doing well with it. Once she can control her head I will put her to bed at night on her belly.

The boys are doing really well with her. They both are so proud of her. If we're out and we see someone they both want to show off there little sister. I try to get out with them at least once everyday. Sometimes it's just to go to Target, but at least it's out. I know how important it is for me and the boys to get out of the house. They get bored and need a change of environment. Avin is doing really well with learning and craft time at home. Parker still isn't saying much, ball and hi are is favorite words. Avin would watch TV all day if I let him. Parker wants nothing to do with the TV, he would rather be in the toy room playing or getting into my cabinets in the kitchen. I'm working on getting more routine with there homeschooling by the first of the year. We are now doing Music Time on Wednesday and plan to start Story Time on Tuesdays and Busy Fingers every other Thursday.

I've already started my Christmas shopping and plan to be done by the end of the month. I'm trying to make the most of the time I have with Cooper sleeping so much. I put Cooper in the carrier and she can nap and the boys in the stroller. We get a lot of looks when were out, but that is o.k. people just think I'm crazy, and sometimes I think I'm crazy too.

Jeff and I are doing well. We're not getting much sleep but that is o.k. Jeff has taken 3 weeks off from working out with Kyle in the mornings so he can help out in the morning. Which I'm sure he plans to start back on Monday. We are really busy right now with Epic stuff but we know our slow time is just right around the corner. We are looking forward to some weekend to do nothing!!! Jeff informed me last night that he has to go on a 4-5 day business trip the first week of December. I wish we could go with him but 3 kids on an airplane DOESN'T SOUND FUN!!!!!!!!!!!

So that is the scoop with the Seymore Family!!!

Cooper the Super Pooper Shooter

This morning was an eventful one for me and the boys. On Tuesdays at 9:30 I take the boys to music time at the library. I really want to continue doing it even though it might be hard at times with 3 kids. This morning was a true test of how bad I wanted to go. It was bout 8:30 and I needed to change Cooper's diaper and clothes and get the all kids in the van by 8:45 so we could get to the library by 9:00 so I could feed Cooper in the parking lot before music time!! Well I went to change Coopers diaper and she EXPLODED, this little bitty girl shot poop all over me and Parker (he was standing right beside me) I was covered in it. It was all over my shirt, pants and the floor. Avin was running around the house screaming "mommy you have poop all over you" So I changed clothes and cleaned it all up. I thought for a brief second there is no way were going, but I knew Avin would be so upset so I headed out the door. Once i got in the van I looked down and my neck still had poop slashes all over it, GROSS I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Well we made it in time and the boys had a blast at music time. Looking back I can laugh about it but at the time it was a stressful moment!!!

Hope this story made you laugh!!!!

Bottles and Pacifiers

Tonight Copper got her first bottle. Jeff has been anxiously waiting to give Cooper her first bottle. With me breastfeeding, Jeff feels as he can't do much other than help out with the diaper changes and with the boys. Which actually is a lot!!!! Cooper is eating every 3 hours even through most nights and it is catching up with me. I know it will not be this way for long, hopefully 6-8 more weeks of little sleep. Jeff wants to be able to take a night feeding here and there. I'm never super excited about the whole bottle thing, but it will be nice if I can have a night maybe once a week when I can sleep through a feeding. We have a freezer full of breastmilk already and she isn't even 3 weeks old. I've looked into donating my extra milk, there are a couple organizations that I'm researching. I'm producing an extra 12-16oz a day!!

We've debated giving Cooper a pacifier because we rather her be a thumb sucker. We gave the boys a pacifier from week 2-6 then they found there thumbs. Were hoping Cooper does the same!!

Halloween 2008 & Cooper 2 weeks

Halloween was very eventful for the Seymore family. We started the day off with going to Jeff’s work at 10:30 and trick or treating around his office. The boys dressed up at pirates and Cooper wore a pumpkin shirt! They don’t carry costumes in preemie sizes!! It was so neat to watch Parker. This was his first Halloween he could actually trick or treat. He thought you had to give candy to get candy. I don’t know if it’s the whole sharing thing we have been working so hard on or what but everyone thought he was so cute. Avin had a blast saying “Arrr I’m a pirate” Jeff took a half day so after we were done at his work we went to the Mall to see MaMa. My sisters Jessica and Jamie were there too. Then it was nap time so we headed home. Later on that evening we went to Trunk or Treat at our church, then to Grandma LoLou's. The boys had so much fun and they got so much of candy that they will never see!!! Well Avin will have some here and there.

Cooper is doing really well. She is eating about every 3 hours. She is a really good easy going baby so far. She cry’s when I’m changing her diaper or when she is hungry, but that’s about it. She is doing ok at night, most nights she eats every 3 hours but we have had a couple nights when she will go 4 hours, one night she went almost 6 hours!!!!! The boys are adjusting to having her around. Earlier in the week we were concerned about Parker. He wasn’t acting like his self at all, he was throwing fits and acting very unhappy. So Jeff and I have been spending alone time with him daily. And it seems to be working he is back to his happy funny little self!!!!
