Amanda's new hobby- sewing!!!!!!

So I'm sure most of you remember the cute Christmas outfits I got Cooper. I bought most of them from a friend who has a baby boutique called "Ruffles and Ribbons" Well after buying these outfits my mother-law and mom who both sew encouraged me to start sewing. So I asked for a sewing machine for Christmas and my awesome husband got me one!!!! So two weeks ago I got my sewing machine out not having a clue what I was doing. The last time I sewed was in 7th grade homemaker class. My sewing machine came with a DVD. So I stuck myself up stairs in our playroom (now sewing room) and taught myself how to sew!!!! I probably should have waited until I could have Kathy or my mom come over to help me because I was getting really frustrated!!! Let just say the first outfit needs to go in the trash.

One week later I've sewed 8 projects. Right now I'm just doing very basic stuff. The rate I'm going I'll have Cooper an outfit for everyday of her life. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have found a really cute designer called Pink Fig and plan on making a lot of her outfits. I'm really enjoying my new hobby!!!!!!!

Friday night we went over to Jeff's parents house to celebrate my birthday. We have homemade pizza's and played games. We all had a really good time just hanging out. Our family is truly blessed, we have a wonderful family.

Happy Birhtday- Ashley turns 21 Amanda turns 28 WOW!!!!!!!!!!!

My sister's birthday is Jan 4th and mine is Jan 6th so we always celebrate our birthday together. Sunday night everyone on my side of the family got together for dinner. This will be the last formal get together in my parents rental house. They are building a house and it will be done in a few months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nashville Trip 1.3.09

We took the kids to Nashville this past weekend to do some shopping. I will say that we have the best kids ever. They did so good! We got to Nashville Friday at 9:30. I fed Cooper and we headed in the Opry Mills Mall. We ate the Rain Forest Cafe for lunch. We ended up leaving the mall around 3:00. That is 5 hrs of shopping. The kids never gave us any trouble! Well Avin did cry because he wanted a balloon. After all day shopping we headed towards Brentwood where our hotel was and checked in. We didn't know where we were going to eat (not like us we usually have our whole trips planned out) but having the 3 kids with us, we were laid back this time. So we ended up at 5 Guys for Burgers. I wasn't too excited about it at first but it ended up being really good. Saturday we got up and had breakfast at Panera. Then went and did some more shopping and visited the Herrenbruck's. We had a great weekend!!! Here are a few pictures from the weekend.
